real bride inspo :: a + b :: joyful and cozy in leelanau county

9.29.18

venue location: Old Art Building, Leland

describe your day in 3 words: Joyful, Cozy, Leelanau

your song: Lovin' You Easy- Zac Brown Band

moment that made you laugh: During our ceremony, I had to repeat "I vow to love you for all that you are". For some reason, it caught me by surprise. I couldn't help but smile and emphasized "*...Allll... that you are", because my husband is a pretty original guy with incredible energy, passion, and sense of humor.

vow that made you tear up: I teared up throughout the day: when I put on my dress; our first look; during our vows... but my mom's toast really got the tears flowing. She has an amazing 'mic-drop' way of making a huge statement with few words.

moment that made you scratch your head: How did 3 hours of dancing feel like 15 minutes?

love is never having to...: worry about the future

advice for future brides: Start planning early. Let professionals be professionals- they're really good at what they do! Express your preferences and take advice from others. Relax, be present, and have so much fun! Remember, it's a celebration of your love with the closest people in your life. that's awesome!
Have a back-up plan if you're hoping for an outdoor wedding, but that's all you can do. I really think the weather sets the vibe and makes each wedding unique. The cloudy, 46 degree day made for such a cozy, intimate energy. The lighting was perfect for photos. It was perfect and I wouldn't change it.
